The Madera Chamber of Commerce ‘Business and Education Committee’ is proud to announce their participation in the America’s Schools Recycling Program.
The Madera Chamber, along with your participation as a Chamber Member, will help benefit and enhance local educational programs in our K-12 schools. At the same time we all will help preserve the environment through recycling. Revenues from the Chamber’s participation in this program will be directed to the Business and Education Committee for who will determine and invest the funds received into local educational programs and scholarships.
The Chamber of Commerce office now has a set of recycling boxes in our front lobby. We encourage our Chamber Members to bring in used inkjet cartridges, laser toner cartridges and cell phones to be recycled. Participating in this program with ASP and your contributions will greatly help the recycling effort.
To further support this program, Chamber Members can enroll their own business under the Chamber’s participation by establishing your location as a collection center. There is no cost to participate in this process. A graphic link to the recycling webpage can be found on the chamber’s website that will direct you to the site to enroll your business (your own set or recycling boxes and simple instructions on the management of the program).
The ASP Recycling program comes at no cost to the Madera Chamber of Commerce office, participating corporations, retailers, or businesses who sign up under the Chamber.
The Chamber will receive the first 50% of every dollar received from whatever is recycled by businesses and retail locations signed up under our chamber. 28% goes to educational program statewide, and ASP keeps 22% to administer/market the program free of cost to the chambers and schools.
