ABOUT THE 2010 EVENT...

Dreaming of a White Christmas…this beautiful white tree is dressed in holiday style glistening with ornaments of silver, blue, purple and green representing the hope and joy that the holidays bring.  May all your days be merry and bright.  Proceeds from this tree will provide educational scholarships and support programs for the local business community.

The project was a successful endeavor, and an enormous ‘Thank You’ goes out to Harry Diebert (Creative Copy) who purchased the tree on the night of the event for $1000.  We thank him for his support of the Chamber and our scholarship and  business community programs.  Additional thanks to Debi Bray, Cindy Mindt, Jennifer Moore, and Kim Lopez for all that they did in making this project a success!!!

Image...on Saturday, December 4, 2010 the Madera Sunrise Rotary celebrated their 25th Annual 'Trees for Charity Auction and Dinner Dance' at Hatfield Hall, Madera District Fairgrounds.  This event has been acknowledged as the beginning of the holiday season in Madera. It is an opportunity for community members to support their favorite non-profit or charity, have fun and promote the spirit of giving at the same time. Each year 14 beautifully decorated trees and many wreaths are donated by individuals and non-profit groups. They are auctioned off and the total amount of auction proceeds benefit their designated charities.

The event includes a no-host cocktail hour; a special filet-mignon dinner, prepared by the club’s renowned cooking crew;  silent auction of wreaths throughout the evening; live auction of trees; dancing and a raffle to win the special Christmas Tree prepared by the Madera Sunrise Rotary Club. The profits from the Dinner Dance event supports  the programs and services of the Club, locally and internationally. Tickets were $50.00 each and tables for 10 were available (seating was limited to 500 guests).  Tickets were available from any Sunrise Rotary Club member.
