CELEBRATING OUR HERITAGE... 100 YEARS IN 2007!

Celebrating 100 Years... on March 27, 2007, the City of Madera celebrated its 100th Anniversary. The Madera Chamber of Commerce is happy to offer this section of our website as an information source and will continue to add historical information as it is received.

In celebration of our century mark we would like to honor individuals that have, and continue, to play a key role in defining the City of Madera. The Madera Chamber of Commerce is proud to provide a commemorative 2007 Mayor's Century Yearbook to honor those civic leaders that have served our City.  The Chamber's annual Mayor's Prayer Breakfast held on Thursday, May 3, 2007 celebrated 100 Years of Mayors.

It all started with the first City Council and the Honorable J.G. Roberts (pictured) who served a 5-year term as Mayor from March 29, 1907 - April 15, 1912. The Madera Chamber of Commerce salutes and honors, with great gratitude, those that have served as our City leaders since 1907...
