Attention Clubs and Organizations of Madera!!! OPERATION CIVIC PRIDE
Do you know of an area that needs landscaping or would benefit from a landscape or beautification project in Madera ? The Madera Redevelopment Agency and City of Madera Beautification Committee in partnership with the Madera District Chamber of Commerce are now accepting applications for proposals for the "Operation Civic Pride" matching grant program. The Madera Redevelopment Agency and City of Madera Beautification Committee in partnership with the Madera District Chamber of Commerce are now accepting applications for proposals for the "Operation Civic Pride" matching grant program. This matching grant program is designed to provide schools, non-profit organizations or other neighborhood organizations, such as local service clubs, neighborhood associations, senior groups, church youth groups, Boy Scout and Girl Scout groups, school clubs and organizations, youth sports teams and Boosters clubs, FFA and 4-H clubs, the opportunity to actively take part in making Madera a more beautiful place in which to live, work, or visit. Grants will be awarded on a project-by-project basis. Funding is to be matched by volunteer efforts and/or matching cash donations. Projects must be within the City of Madera, with the exception of projects located at an entrance to the City that may be outside the actual city limits. Information packets and applications are available at the Madera District Chamber of Commerce Office, located at 120 North E Street in Madera. Completed application packets must be mailed or delivered to the Madera District Chamber of Commerce office. The applications will be reviewed by Chamber Staff for completeness, then forwarded to the Madera Redevelopment Agency and Madera Beautification Committee for review and recommendation to the Agency Board. The Madera Redevelopment Agency Board will make the final determination of grant awards. Any questions about the program or completion of the paperwork can be directed to the Madera District Chamber of Commerce at (559) 673-3563. Incomplete applications will not be considered. OPERATION CIVIC PRIDE GRANT APPLICATION: All of the following documents must be completed in order to be considered for this program. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Completed applications must be submitted to the Madera District Chamber of Commerce at 120 North E Street, Madera CA 93638 MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT: If the proposed project is located on city, school district or county property within the city limits, the agreement must obtain the signature of the appropriate official. If this form is not completed, the application packet will be returned.
The following document is not part of the application process, but will be required after the approval of the project, at the appropriate time. Yosemite Avenue/Tozer Entry (Project 1) Madera Rotary Club – Rotary Monument Project at Rotary Park (Phase I) Church of God (7th Day) Youth Group – Planting of Two Flower Beds at Thomas Jefferson Middle School Madera High School ‘Hinton’s Historians’ – Military Service Memorial at Memorial Football Stadium U.C.
