SAVE THE DATES!  SALUTE TO EDUCATION 2010

The 2010 Salute to Education Retired Teachers Luncheon, hosted by the Madera Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee will be held on Wednesday, May 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.; location TBD.  The event was by invitation only and complimentary invitations were mailed to our Retired Educator guests. Reservations are accepted for attendees that were not retired educators for $10.00 per person.  For more information, contact the Madera Chamber of Commerce office at (559) 673-3563.

 

The 2010 Salute to Education Reception and Recognition event is hosted by the Madera Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee… you are invited to join us to recognize and celebrate the 2010 honorees for Madera's Distinguished Teachers of the Year, Business Supporters of the Year, M.U.T.A.'s Friends of Education, and the Madera Chamber of Commerce Honor Roll Recipient on Thursday, May 13, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m.  The reception begins at 5:00 p.m. with the program beginning promptly at 6:00 p.m.; location TBD.   This event is open to the public and there is no cost to attend.  Sponsorships of this event are available, for more information; please call the Madera Chamber of Commerce Office at (559) 673-3563.

 

SALUTE TO EDUCATION 2009

The Business and Education Committee of the Madera Chamber of Commerce hosted their annual Salute to Education events in May 2009... thank you for helping us Celebrate Education!!!

The 2009 Salute to Education Retired Teachers Luncheon was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2009 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Desmond Middle School, 26490 Martin Street in Madera.  The attending retirees were welcomed by Anne Lozano, Madera Chamber of Commerce Business and Education Committee member, Debi Bray, CEO/President - Madera Chamber of Commerce, John Stafford, Superintendent - Madera Unified School District, Dr.Sally Frazier, Superintendent - Madera County Office of Education and Mr. Mike Lennemann, Principal of Desmond Middle School, while they enjoyed lunch and conversation. A special thank you goes to the entire staff of Jack G. Desmond Middle School for hosting this year's festivities.

The 2009 Salute to Education Reception and Awards Celebration was held on Thursday, May 14, 2009 with a dessert reception beginning at 5:00 p.m. with the program commencing at 6:00 p.m. The event was held at Madera Community College Center located at 30277 Avenue 12 in Madera. 

 

Special thanks to the Madera Chamber of Commerce Business & Education Committee members for their dessert donations and to the Educational Employees Credit Union for their donation of bottled water for the 2009 reception.  Special acknowledgments to Bark Avenue Dog Salon and Boutique, Desmond Middle School, Madera Community College Center, Madera Unified School District, and Madera County Office of Education for their support of our Salute to Education events.
