The Madera Unified Governing Board (also referred to as the Board of Education) is comprised of seven members. Each seat represents a geographic area of the city of Madera as outlined in the Trustee Area Map.

Board meetings are typically held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m., with just a couple of exceptions (only one board meeting is held in July and December). Special board meetings may be called as needed.
