Camarena Health - Health Fair in Celebration of Nation Women's Health Week Camarena Health is joining the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in celebrating National Woman’s Health week. On Tuesday, May 15, 2012, Camarena Health will host a Health Fair in celebration of Women’s Health Week. The celebration will be held in the main parking lot across from the offices located at 344 E. 6th Street, Madera, CA 93638. From 9am to 12pm, the community of Madera will have access to free blood pressure checks, blood sugar checks, nutritional education and several other health related services. The goal is to provide a fun environment to celebrate and engage members of the community. National Women’s Health Week is a week long celebration that brings communities, businesses, government, health organizations, and several other important groups together. One of the main goals is to empower women to take charge of their health. Setting both physical and mental health as a top priority in their lives is essential to improving the overall quality of life. National Women’s Health week 2012 has chosen the theme of “It’s Your Time.” According to Paulo Soares, CEO of Camarena Health, “It is important for women to take an active role in managing their health. Many times they put their health on the back burner in order to take care of their families. By making health a priority, women are teaching the members of their families to do the same.” More information about services offered as well as upcoming events can be found at www.camareanahealth.org |
